About For Flocks Sake
Who is behind For Flocks Sake?
For Flocks Sake is owned and managed by Dr Tim Gole BVSc MANZCVS (Sheep Medicine).
Growing up, Tim spent his school holidays on sheep stations around Longreach. This fostered his love for sheep production and set him on a trajectory towards becoming a veterinarian.
Tim has worked as a Vet from Coonamble to Cloncurry, England, Scotland and 7 years as the managing partner of the Western Rivers Veterinary Group - Warren and Nyngan NSW.
In 2019 as a positive reaction to the drought Tim studied and passed his memberships in Sheep Medicine with the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists.
With over fourteen years of veterinary experience, Tim combines his knowledge from the field with his university and professional training.
During his time as the managing partner of Western Rivers Veterinary Group, Tim saw a need in the sheep industry for a dedicated veterinary based sheep consultancy firm that could deliver advice and provide technical services.
For Flocks Sake has been a natural progression from this realisation in 2020.
For Flocks Sake Difference
We are a unique consultancy firm that encompasses all sheep production aspects from conception to consumption. Our core service offerings include health, genetics and data. We are passionate about education and offer a range of extension services.
We provide easy frameworks and a technical and advisory component while maximising your outcomes. We make our advice relatable and easy to understand so you can control the variables and grab that low hanging fruit.
Working with a dedicated consultant with a veterinary background allows you to have a better understanding of biological systems while receiving higher quality consultancy service.
For Flocks Sake assesses where your sheep production is now and identifies how you can get to where you want to be in the future. We conduct reproductive audits to understand your systems and set in place plans to execute mission critical production milestones.
Tim is a member of the Australian Sheep Veterinarian Executive Committee, a member for the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is currently studying a Masters in Agribusiness through Marcus Oldham college. This is a testament to his passion for the industry as Tim continuously seeks out ways to educate himself and others.
